  • WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING ON MY FISHING TRIP?
    Personal items such as camera, hat, sunglasses, and wear clothing you are comfortable in - we also have merchandise you can purchase prior to your trip. Wear footwear that you don’t mind getting wet, thongs are ok. Water bottle for hygiene purposes or cups are provided onboard for your convenience. We provide cold drinking water. BYO alcohol if you would like to have a drink. We will provide an esky and ice for your drinks. Small cooler bag to take your catch home. Ice will be provided. Personal medication and seasick medication if required. No need to bring food, we will provide gourmet platters/lunch on the day. We also have a toilet and full-length canopy for shade on our vessels for your convenience.
  • WHERE DO WE DEPART FROM?
    DARWIN Our Darwin departure is located at Cullen Bay Ferry Terminal, Cullen Bay NT. Charters will depart at 6:30am sharp. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure. DUNDEE BEACH Dundee Charters departure is located at Dundee Beach Boat Ramp, Dundee Beach NT. Please note: Dundee Charter departure times are tide dependant. You will be notified of a time prior to your trip.
  • WHERE DO YOU GO?
    Places fished on a Full Day Charter out of DARWIN include but not limited to: The Pinnacles, Fenton Patches, Bass Reef, East Bass, Roach Reef, Fish Reef, South & North Gutter, Bynoe Harbour, Middle Reef, Charles Point. We also offer Extended Day Charters to the Tiwi Islands, Dundee and surrounds.
  • ARE CHILDREN WELCOME ON FISHING CHARTERS?
    Yes, children aged 6+ are welcome. All children onboard are always the responsibility of the parent.
  • HOW MANY PASSENGERS ARE ON THE BOAT?
    Knot Stoppin’ can take a max of 8 passengers. Knotorious is survey for 23 passengers. However to fish comfortably we can take 15 anglers onboard with the option to add extra passengers either on a shared line or non fishing. Harbour Cruises we can take a max of 20 passengers.
  • CAN I BRING MY OWN FISHING GEAR?
    You are welcome to bring your own fishing gear if you wish.
  • WHAT TYPE OF FISHING GEAR IS USED?
    Shimano Saragossa spin reels with braided line are used for bottom fishing. The same reels are used for trolling with mono line. All outfits are rigged with high quality leader and hooks, giving you the best chance to catch and land your fish.
  • HOW OFTEN DO FISHING CHARTERS RUN?
    Fishing charters operate daily year-round. During the wet season (January – March) charters are weather dependent.
  • DO I NEED TO BRING AN ESKY?
    No, we have eskies onboard for both your fish and your drinks. You may bring a small cooler bag to take your catch home. Ice will be provided.
  • CAN I KEEP WHAT I CATCH?
    You are welcome to catch and release or take your catch home. Our experienced team will clean, fillet and bag your catch prior to departing the vessel. For a small additional fee, we can freeze your fillets at our premises and pack them into an airline approved box for you to fly or transfer your fish back to your home state. (Please note: We adhere strictly to Northern Territory fishing regulations and bag limits.)
  • DO YOU CATER FOR SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?
    Yes, we do where possible. Please advise dietary requirements at time of booking.
  • ARE THERE ANY WEIGHT OR DISABILITY RESTRICTIONS?
    No weight or disability restriction as such. However, you need to be physically able to embark and disembark the vessel safely. Please contact us for further information.
  • HOW DO I MAKE PAYMENT?
    Payments can be made via credit card (Mastercard or Visa) when you make a direct booking on our website. You may also like to pay by credit card over the phone, direct deposit into our bank account, with a gift voucher or visit us in our office and pay by cash/card. *30% deposit is required to secure your booking.
  • WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL?
    Cancellations outside of 60 days will incur a 10% booking fee. Cancellations within 30-60 days of departure will incur a 25% booking fee off total booking cost. Cancellations within 30 days of departure will incur 50% booking fee off total booking cost. Cancellations within 2-14 days of departure will incur 75% booking fee off total booking cost. No refund will apply to cancellations within 48 hours of departure and no credit will be offered. If you are coming from interstate/overseas and your flight gets cancelled we will provided a credit only. Yknot will provide a full credit or refund if cancellation is due to weather or any other unforeseen circumstances.
